“Adopt-a-hive” is a project with a strong social cause. In essence, we believe that protecting the quality and genuine product will motivate the beekeepers to excel and thus protect the environment and agriculture.
Bulgarian nature is rich and diverse. The unique honey made by the local bees is not only tasty but also extremely healthy and nutritious. The adopt-a-hive program is the easiest way to get your 100% genuine honey, produced by real indigenous beekeepers.
Every beekeeper on our platform is proud to offer their product to you. And every jar of honey you purchase contributes directly to their operations. We like to shorten the distance between you and your hive and thus provide maximum profit directly to the producer.
Creating sustainability in the beekeeping sector
Our mission is to design, develop and integrate modern technologies and business practices into the beekeeping sector. We believe that the most sustainable approach towards protecting the our most important pollinators – the bees, is creating sustainability in the sector itself. Honey is the third most faked food product in the world and there is a solid reason why. There is no simple way of proving whether it is genuine or not at home. The consistency, sweetness and flavor are easily manipulated. This is why you need a vendor you can trust. We only offer honey from beekeepers we know and respect. We cut out all unnecessary middlemen in the process and allow you to know from where exactly your product comes from. You can even get in touch with your beekeeper and communicate with her/him directly.

We care for the environment
We strive to bring our products and their packaging was and harmful emissions to the minimum. We want to preserve nature and this is why we use recycled paper for our honey boxes, we keep the labeling to a minimum and we even put a little something inside to help you bring some more color to your life.
Pay the bees back. In every box of honey you get, there is a piece of paper containing flower seeds. Simply cut the paper into smaller pieces, dig it in the ground just a few centimeters and pour a bit of water on top. The paper will provide a nutritious environment to the seeds as it decomposes and you will be amazed how easy it is to create something so beautiful but the bees will thank you for its nutritional value.
